Asset Management
Asset management refers to the systematic approach to the governance and realization of value from the things that a group or entity is responsible for, over their whole life cycles. It may apply both to tangible assets and to intangible assets. Asset management is a broad term. It can be defined as a process that guides the gaining of assets, along with their use and disposal in order to make the most of the assets and their potential throughout the life of the assets. While doing this, it also manages and maintains any costs and risks associated with the assets. It is not something you can buy, but rather a discipline you must follow in order to maintain your assets.
Revenue Management & Enhancement
Municipalities play an integral role in providing services to communities in South Africa, a strong local government sector creates safe, healthy communities. Municipalities therefore need to be financially stable. In partnership with the Development Bank of South Africa (DBSA) we have created a service geared towards ensuring that municipality’s financial sustainability is strengthened through an integrated approach to revenue management. This is done though;
Strengthening the institutional and human resource capacity of the municipality
Building an organizational culture focused on municipal service delivery and sustainability
Strengthen customer and stakeholder relations in support of revenue management.
Supply Chain Management
Supply chain management is the active management of supply chain activities to maximize customer value and achieve a sustainable competitive advantage. It represents a conscious effort by the supply chain firms to develop and run supply chains in the most effective & efficient ways possible. Supply chain activities cover everything from product development, sourcing, production, and logistics, as well as the information systems needed to coordinate these activities.
This is based on two core ideas:
The first is that every product that reaches an end user represents the cumulative effort of multiple organisations (collectively as the supply chain).
The second idea is that while supply chains have existed for a long time, most organisations only pay attention to what is occurring within their own organization. Few businesses understand, much less manage, the entire chain of activities that ultimately delivered products to the final customer.
